Donations are needed for the upcoming Las Cruces Homeless Veterans Stand Down. The Stand Down, to be held on Friday, September 27th at VFW Post 10124, 709 S. Valley, will offer homeless veterans with many resources that they can use including access to health care, mental health screening, substance abuse counseling, social and legal services, a hot meal, a haircut, and even winter clothing. We ask for the following items to be donated: soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, hygiene products, combs/brushes, razors, band aids, chapstick, toilet paper, new/gently used clothes: (socks, sweat pants/shorts, t-shirts and winter items), blankets, baby products, water, or monetary donations are also accepted. You can drop off donations with the Military and Veterans Programs in Corbett Center, room 244.
